Ups of Downs celebrates World Downs Syndrome Day; End the Stigma [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – March 21 is World Downs Syndrome Day, a day to spread awareness and send the message; End the Stigma. The day is designated to promote awareness about Down syndrome and to assist those who live with the condition.

Ups of Downs in Rapid City is an organization that strives to raise awareness about those living with the condition, and how they can lead normal lives. Their purpose is to promote the awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of children and adults with Down syndrome in South Dakota.

Through their mission, Ups of Downs provides educational, charitable, recreational, and social events for individuals with Down syndrome and their families and friends.

Every year they host The Down Syndrome Awareness Walk, a fundraiser for the organization and a great way to spread awareness and learn all about Down syndrome.
