Former Idols South Africa winner Khaya Mthethwa – the ex-husband of beauty queen Ntando Kunene – has been reminded of his alleged past transgressions after he posted a tweet about co-parenting.
The gospel singer won the eighth season of the TV singing talent competition, becoming the show’s first-ever black winner.
In 2019, Khaya split from Ntando – a former Miss South Africa – after just two years of marriage. They share a son Oyinkosi, together.
Khaya returned to his love of gospel music and is now a senior pastor at the Oasis Church in Durban.
Over the weekend, Khaya Mthethwa tweeted about some of the struggles of being a divorced dad. He posted: “Count it a blessing to live with your child… drop offs are so heartbreaking”.
Of co-parenting with his ex Ntando Kunene, he told a follower: “I still struggle with the guilt.
“My heart always breaks when they start crying.”
