Donate to the Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation Youth Wilderness Program [Video]

IDAHO, USA — Getting out into nature is an experience many people think every kid should have. Unfortunately, sometimes financial barriers can keep kids from experiencing the outdoors. Camping and hiking can be expensive when it comes to gear.  

The Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation (SBFC) is having a drive for gently used outdoor gear that will support their new Youth Wilderness Program. People can drop off gear from May 6 to 12 at various locations.

“The Gear Drive aims to collect backpacking equipment to equip local teens from Idaho and Montana for immersive wilderness experiences. Whether it’s a backpack that has been on countless adventures, a tent that has provided shelter from the elements, or hiking boots that have traversed rugged terrain, donated gear will make a difference in the lives of young wilderness stewards,” a news release stated.
