PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A young boy’s dream came true in Phoenix on Saturday.
Phoenix, who suffers from extreme medical conditions, has always wanted to fly a plane, and a Valley nonprofit made it happen!
Hope From Above works with The Kids Wish Network to fly terminally ill or permanently disabled children from around the country.
The organization gives children a personalized experience where they select one of the five volunteer “avatar” pilots for a WWII reconnaissance mission.
Phoenix flew out for his mission from Falcon Field and was given a water gun salute from the Mesa Fire Department on his return.
After he completed his mission, Phoenix was presented with a personalized leather bomber jacket with his pilot name tag.
