EastEnders star Angela Wynter is taking to the TARDIS in the new series of Doctor Who this weekend – and her role is very different to Yolande Trueman.
The actress, 66, first appeared in the BBC One soap as God-fearing Yolande in 2003, continuing in the role for the next five years.
She made guest appearances in 2017, and returned to the show on a permanent basis last year.
The character is currently embroiled in a harrowing storyline that has seen her sexually assaulted by prayer group leader Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler) and in tonight’s (7th May) episode, she finally confides in life-partner Patrick (Rudolph Walker) about the ordeal.
However, if you’re a fan of sci-fi and soap, you may have seen her make a guest appearance in long-running serial Doctor Who last year.
