Vigil held for victim killed in Round Rock Juneteenth shooting [Video]

AUSTIN, Texas — Lyndsey Vicknair was a mother of three, a wife and an attorney. She was also a track mother and co-founder of Austin’s Honey Badgers track club. 

On June 20, friends and loved ones who knew her as their fierce leader gathered at Webb Middle School to light up the track in her honor. 

Pictures were displayed while several people gathered holding onto their candles as prayers were said not just for Vicknair, but for Ara Duke, who was also killed during the Juneteenth mass shooting.

Candice Cooper, another a cofounder of the club, said Vicknair and her family were welcomed in about two years ago, and even though she is gone, the “light and love” of Lyndsey will remain.
