The Art of Peace—a guest lecture from Professor Sir David Khalili [Video]

Professor Sir David Khalili is the Founder and Chairman of the Khalili Foundation. In this guest lecture delivered at the Faculty of Divinity on 23 May 2024, he provides an autobiographical account of a lifetime of art collecting and a reflection on how this pursuit has helped him cultivate positive inter-religious and inter-cultural relations.

This event was arranged in partnership between the Cambridge Interfaith Programme (hosting), the Centre for Resilience and Sustainable Development at the University of Cambridge, and the Khalili Foundation.

Dr Nazia Habib provides a welcome, in context of a wider programme of collaborative research. Professor Richard Rex introduces the speaker, celebrating his work as “a citizen of the world”. The lecture is accompanied by slides (from around 20 minutes) and followed by a period of Q&A.
