A teenager is wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man early Wednesday morning in southeast Alabama, authorities said.
Javiontay Brown, 17, is sought in connection with the shooting death of Eufaula resident William Antwone Tharp Jr., according to Eufaula police.
Tharp was shot four times around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Gammage Rd. in Eufaula, said Chief Danny Christ.
Tharp was taken via private vehicle to Medical Center Barbour, where he died of his injuries shortly after his arrival at the hospital.
A confrontation led to the shooting, according to Christ.
Anyone with information on the deadly shooting was asked to call Eufaula police’s Criminal Investigations Division at 334-687-1200 or the department’s anonymous tip Line at 334-687-7100.
