The Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration on Wednesday, allowing federal officials to continue communicating with social media platforms about content moderation policies. The 6-3 decision reverses a lower court ruling that would’ve significantly restricted that ability. The Biden administration says social media companies make independent decisions about the information on their sites, but they engage on topics from terrorism to foreign influence to children’s mental health.
