FINDLAY, Ohio (WTVG) – There’s no shortage of advertising and public service announcements for the eclipse. Fore some, the once-in-a-lifetime event is a welcome sign of business. For others, it’s a time to take precautions.
People across Northwest Ohio are preparing for an increase in traffic, and visitors, for the solar eclipse.
Electronic billboards are scattered across busy roads, warning drivers to find somewhere else to park for the big day.
Designated viewing locations, and stores, however, are welcoming people in.
Randall Wilson is a stocker and night manager at Great Scot’s grocery store in Findlay. He put up a sign advertising “eclipse party favorites,” advertising everything people need for the day, from glasses to special eclipse-themed treats.
On Saturday, they sold their last pair of eclipse glasses in stock, and Wilson said the store has been busy the past few days.
