SadhviJi visits the first Hindu Jain Temple in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

It was such a blessing and joy to spend time in the green, lush suburbs of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania this month at the beautiful Hindu-Jain Temple. Whenever we go to temples we always bow in front of the Divine, but here, at this extraordinarily exquisite Sarveshwar temple I bow not only to the Deities, but also to every single brick in the actual temple! This is the temple that Pujya Swamiji founded in the early 1980s and I can feel his amazing presence in every inch of the beautiful temple. It’s the very first temple in the world in which Hindus and Jains worship together and also the first temple in which the two lineages of Jainism, Swetambar and Digambar worship together. It is a true temple of unity which was Pujya Swamiji’s vision and commitment. When he began uniting the community for the construction of the temple he was still in his 20s and yet had such a powerful vision and ability to implement that vision, that today this temple stands as truly a model of unity and devotion.
