Rogers Public Library offering limited services despite building being closed to the public [Video]

ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Rogers Public Library’s building may be closed but people can still use its services.

“We just have patrons place holds on items, and then we notify them when they’re ready to pick up and they pull up to the front of the building, give us a call, and we take their items out to them,” said Hannah Pearce, library director.

Pearce says the staff began telling people about the many programs the library is still offering not long after the tornado hit.

“We began attending the Rogers Food and Art Market the weekend after the tornado,” said Pearce. “We wanted to hand out summer reading logs, prizes. And, we did hand out free books that were donated from the Friends of the Rogers Public Library store.”
