Prayer meeting held in memory of Pike County mom and her 8-year-old son [Video]

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Loved ones and the wider Pike County community held a prayer meeting Saturday at Brundidge Methodist Church in honor of Heather Minton and her 8-year-old son Conners, who both lost their lives in a wreck.

“Someone like Mrs. Minton, you just think she fulfilled her purpose,” said Banks School Principal Shantel Rouse. “I want to try to emulate, you know, feeling that purpose.”

People described Heather as someone you could always count on and a great teacher and mother who was involved with so many organizations. Her son, Conners, defined as eager to share his faith and was baptized less than a week before the tragedy.
