NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A new initiative is set to help passengers with “hidden disabilities” at the Nashville International Airport.
The Sunflower Program will utilize discreet lanyards as a silent way for passengers to signal they may need additional support or assistance. Disabilities can be neurological, cognitive and neurodevelopmental. as well as physical, visual, auditory and include sensory and processing difficulties, according to the airport.

The lanyards are now available for passengers in need of extra support at the information center, which is located on the ground floor and open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
No disability qualification or explanation is required to receive a lanyard.
