The Stranger Things star talks about how reading O’Connor in high school left a lasting impression on her, one that directly led to the creation of Wildcat. Hawke had passed along the writer’s prayer journal to her father (Ethan Hawke), and after he also fell in love with the work, the two decided to adapt her story for the big screen.
