About the course

The Master of Finance (MFinc), consisting of a selection of papers plus either an applied or research project, allows for the development of individual skills and applied or theoretical research and investigation.

Entry requirements

  • Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Commerce).

Every applicant must either

  1. be a graduate with a mathematically-oriented degree and normally have achieved an average grade of B+ in the papers satisfying the final year major subject requirements for that degree, or

  2. have equivalent alternative qualifications or experience acceptable to the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Commerce).

  • In considering an applicant’s qualifications, regard will be had to the detail of the course of study followed to gain the qualification, as well as the applicant’s performance in the programme.
