Interview on Gender equality with Anna Dorangricchia [Video]

In connection to a recent visit to Amman by Anna Dorangricchia, Programme Manager on Gender Equality at the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) the Swedish Dialogue Institute for the Middle East and North Africa made an interview with her.

Please meet Anna Dorangricchia and hear her reflections on how to further Euro-Med relations and collaborations with a gender lens.

In the interview she noted that the EuroMed region encounter a variety of challenges, notably on climate change. She underlined that these challenges are not gender-neutral and underscored the necessity of incorporating a gender perspective into all regional development policies. She also emphasized the crucial role of women in all societal development, and the need of seeing women as central actors, not merely as a vulnerable group.
