Inspiring hockey movie now playing in North Texas [Video]

Texas native Ashlee C. has transformed her vision into a reality with her latest film, “Black Ice: The Rhythm.”

The movie, which tackles issues of inequality in ice hockey, is a faith-based, feel-good film designed to inspire and uplift audiences.

Set against the backdrop of a community ice rink, “Black Ice: The Rhythm” dives into the challenges and triumphs faced by minority youth in competitive sports.

Ashlee C. revealed the origin of the film, saying, “I was teaching at a film resort, and one of the students who happened to be the director showed us a Rip-O-Matic video made from stock footage. It was so good, I begged him to read the script.” She added, “Once I read the story, I knew that it had to come to life. I told him I would do whatever I needed to do in my power to help bring the story to life.”
