Huntsville nonprofit speaks out after Supreme Court ruling on homeless sleeping in public places | News [Video]

On Friday, a Supreme Court ruling allowed cities to enforce bans on homeless people sleeping outside in public places. A similar policy has already been in place in Huntsville. First Stop of Huntsville President of the Board of Directors Tim Davis explained how the organization may see the impact of these changes.

For the last eight years, Davis has dedicated his time to the First Stop of Huntsville’s mission, which is to encounter homeless residents, connect them with services and support, and empower them toward sustainable living. Davis says there’s no easy answer when it comes to homelessness, and he suggests each city will experiment with different approaches. Despite the challenges, he believes Huntsville will find a good solution.
