Gov. Beshear holds annual prayer breakfast in Frankfort [Video]

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — “Forward Together in Faith, Empathy and Compassion” – it was this year’s theme for the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast hosted by Gov. Andy Beshear.

During the Tuesday breakfast, Beshear recalled the hardships Kentuckians endured the last few years including the tornadoes in Western Kentucky and the mass shooting at Old National Bank. He described how these events brought the commonwealth together.

“What we saw was the best of us was the best of us, the better angels inside each of us people willing to go out of their way to help one another to push out all the division anything that they may have previously disagreed on and live out that true faith and love for humanity to help someone out who had been through so much,” he said.
