Dear Members of the Community and the Conservative Party of Canada,

I am honored to introduce myself to you as Malik Ashraf, a proud member of the vibrant community that embodies the spirit of our great nation. Arriving in Canada in 1998, I made Falconridge in North East Calgary my home, where I’ve been privileged to contribute to its growth and vitality for nearly nine years.

My journey of community service began with the establishment of Falconridge’s first worship place and community center, a project that brought together dedicated residents to create a hub of unity and support. Through my involvement, I’ve utilized the resources of our Public Library and Gymnasium at the Village Square Leisure Centre, fostering connections and belonging among our diverse population.

As an active participant in our community’s fabric, I’ve dedicated countless hours to prayer gatherings, cultural events, and volunteering at the community center. Additionally, my involvement with the Calgary Interfaith Council has allowed me to bridge divides and foster understanding among different faith communities.

My educational path has taken me from studying computer programming in Pakistan to completing a Petroleum Land Administration Program at SAIT and earning certification in Canadian Immigration Consulting from Herzing University. Professionally, I’ve served as a paralegal and currently work as a Mortgage Specialist at the Bank of Montreal, where I continue to serve our community’s financial needs.

In 2022, fueled by my passion for community empowerment, I ran for the position of School Board Trustee for Wards 5 and 10. Committed to giving back, I’ve volunteered for over two decades, with a particular focus on realizing the dream of building a school for our children. I’m proud to have overseen the realization of this dream, spearheading the construction of an 80,000 sq. ft. educational facility set to open its doors in September 2024, providing education to 550 children and offering a 9,000 sq. ft. gymnasium for community use.

My dedication lies in serving others and nurturing the community that has embraced me as one of its own. Over the past two decades, I’ve championed initiatives aimed at educating our youth, celebrating diversity, and fostering intergenerational connections.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue contributing to the growth and prosperity of our city and nation. With the unwavering support of the Conservative Party of Canada, I am confident that together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive future for all Canadians.
