Feeding Medina County welcomes donors, volunteers [Video]

MEDINA, Ohio — Ever since it was first formed in 2007, Feeding Medina County has had a goal of addressing food insecurity throughout Medina County.

Today, the organization provides food to roughly 900 families each month through its direct distribution program.

It also serves more than 450 senior citizens living at or below the poverty level through Staples for Seniors.

And it provides 1,000 bags of food each week for children in need through elementary schools and Head Start programs across the county.

According to Kelly Smith, director of engagement with Feeding Medina County, these efforts take the collaboration of donors and volunteers — and there are opportunities for anyone who wants to contribute.
