CLIFTON, Va. — A Northern Virginia family is asking for prayers, as their two young sons remain hospitalized with severe smoke inhalation.
Crews were called to the 13900 block of Whetstone Manor Court in Clifton around 9:30 a.m., Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said.
Zachariah, 3, and William, 6, were trapped inside their home Wednesday morning and had to be rescued by firefighters.
“My daughter called me crying she came by and saw them doing CPR on one of the kids,” said Alan Walker who lives nearby.
Reina Brice, the boys’ mother, told WUSA9 Thursday night that her two youngest sons were not doing well.
In a Facebook post, the family gave an update on the boys.
“Everyone please pray immediately! We were told this afternoon that both William and Zachariah have symptoms consistent with brain death. It is not the final prognosis and they will both be further tested again tomorrow …
