EPIC Church KC places lead pastor Bobby Hawk on leave [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A day after the Blue Springs R-IV Board of Education announced the resignation of its school board president, his church has placed him on leave.

Bobby Hawk, the lead pastor at EPIC Church KC in Independence, met independently with the church’s board of directors, who decided to place him on leave after being made aware of allegations against him.

“You can expect further communication from our board as we navigate through this, but we ask for your patience and your prayers as we try to honor God and His people in the way we handle these serious concerns,” the church wrote in a letter.
