The Batesville School District has received a $30,000 grant from Intimidator Group and The Toro Company Foundation to build a nature playscape for preschool students. The playscape will be used to enhance students’ understanding of the environment and engage in real-world learning opportunities.
Since students and community members do not currently have an accessible outdoor space, the project will encourage a newfound appreciation for the environment by adding safe playground equipment, a nature path, and new vegetation to the space, the release said.
“We are deeply grateful for the generous $30,000 grant provided by Intimidator Group and The Toro Company Foundation,” said Megan Renihan, Batesville School District’s communications coordinator. “This grant will allow us to create a nature playscape for our preschool students, providing them with a unique opportunity to connect with the environment and engage in hands-on learning experiences.
