Waco, TX ISD approves contract for Transformation Waco [Video]

WACO, Texas — Nonprofit organization Transformation Waco will continue its wraparound services to Waco ISD schools next school year, according to a statement by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Robin McDurham.

In a statement to Transformation Waco families, staff and the community, McDurham said the Waco ISD School Board approved Transformation Waco’s contract for the 2024-2025 school year at a recent board meeting.

Transformation Waco is a nonprofit organization that attempts to address “out-of-school barriers to learning by providing access to free afterschool programming and tutoring, onsite mental health therapy, eye examinations and glasses, early childhood programs for parents and on-campus telehealth care.”

McDurham said the new contract means “the continuation of afterschool programs, free eye exams and glasses through The Bernard and Audre Rapoport Vision Center, licensed clinical social workers for mental health support, telehealth services with Waco Family Medicine, legal support …
