State agencies in Cherokee Co. receive new building [Video]

GAFFNEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Several state agencies in Cherokee County have a new place to call home.

A nearly $3 million building will hold the county’s offices of Social Services, the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Service.

The building is located on West Bufford Street in Gaffney and features more conference room space, visitation rooms and facilities for children to use that are in between foster homes and protective custody.

County leaders said the new facility will help them give the best service to their most precious resource which is children.
