Severely emaciated stray dog found in Lorain starts long road to recovery [Video]

CLEVELAND — A severely emaciated dog is getting desperately needed medical attention in Elyria after being abandoned in Lorain. 

According to a Facebook post by volunteers for the Lorain County Dog Kennel, the stray dog was picked up from Lincoln Boulevard on April 21. It weighed under 30 pounds when it was found and could not walk more than 10 steps without needing to sit and rest. 

“SOMEBODY knows this dog. SOMEBODY knows who did this. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!” the post read. 

On Friday, the Friendship Animal Protective League said on social media that the dog, “Lincoln,” was taken to their shelter for medical attention, where “his road to recovery has just begun and will be a long one.”
