Ribbon cut on mental health, addiction recovery center in Bullitt County | News from WDRB [Video]

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Breaking down barriers and access to care are the goals of a new mental health and addiction recovery facility in Bullitt County.

Local dignitaries in Hillview cut the ribbon on Isaiah House on Tuesday morning. The space is in the center of town in what used to be a Save-A-Lot Food Store.

It has now been converted into a community focused resource center named for Hillview’s mayor.

“I am so excited to welcome Isaiah House to the Jim Eadens Resource Center,” Hillview Mayor Jim Eadens said. “I have seen the resources they offer and I truly feel they are making strides against the drug epidemic our society is now plagued with. Through their treatment program, I am hopeful to see lives saved and families changed.”

Eadens family was forever changed earlier this year.

“I lost my son in January to addiction and he fought it for 23 years” Eadens said.
