Paul DelVecchio, aka DJ Pauly D, may be a former reality TV star with a flourishing DJ career, but at the end of the day, he’s like any other dad: concerned with which apps his young daughter can access on the Internet.
“She does have a cell phone now,” the DJ tells PEOPLE of daughter Amabella, who turns 11 next month. “She got the iPhone 15 for Christmas, so that was a big deal. And it’s good for me because I can talk to her all the time, especially when I’m traveling.”
However, he says he and Amabella’s mom Amanda Markert make sure there are rules in place when it comes to her cell phone usage.
“She has rules with the phone. She gets it taken away if her grades aren’t good, and stuff like that,” he says.
Another major restriction? No TikTok — not yet, anyway.
“She’s not allowed to have TikTok. She’s too young,” he says.
