Locke Wards capital city clean-up continues; now calling on local residents and businesses to join [Video]

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Months of work continue for lifelong Jackson resident Locke Ward as he looks at more ways he can help clean up Mississippi’s capital city.

Now, he’s calling on you to take part in any way you can.

“I got four words, please stop trashing Jackson,” said clean-up volunteer Jimmy Rosen.

Volunteers have now joined Locke Ward in his clean-up work in the capital city… so much so, that they were able to pick up nine bags of garbage near the Canton Mart Square on Friday.

“Everybody knew that this was the homeless encampment, basically, and there was just stuff everywhere. And now take a look at it. People can run by here, there’s no trash out here, and the homelessness situation… it’s kind of gone. And now, it looks fantastic!”
