WACO, Texas — Reading is essential to a child’s development, social skills and academic achievement, but many families in our community lack access to quality books to read during the summer. 

You can drop off books at collection boxes placed throughout the community from May 1 to May 14, listed below.

You can also join us on May 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for a special in-person collection event with KCEN 6 News Anchor Lindsay Liepman at Alta Vista Elementary, 3637 Alta Vista Dr., in Waco.
