FREELAND, Mich. (WJRT) – The Freeland Walleye Festival kicked off Thursday and runs through the weekend.
The event draws in thousands and offers a variety of fun, music and fishing in Saginaw County.
Organizers tell ABC12 it is the largest event in Freeland all year long and that the proceeds go back to the community.
The festival offers activities for the whole family, including a carnival, beer tent, dancing, a comedy show and, of course, a fishing tournament.
It runs April 25-28 and is put on by Burt Watson Chevrolet Freeland, along with other sponsors.
