Deputy Ranking Member on the Education Committee of Parliament, Dr. Clement Abass Apaak, has cautioned the Akufo-Addo administration against the politicization of public basic schools by refraining from repainting them in the colours of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Despite speculation suggesting that the government plans to repaint existing public basic schools from brown and yellow to blue and white, the Ministry of Education has clarified in a statement that the initiative is limited to newly constructed basic schools.

The Ministry has also affirmed that there are no intentions to alter the uniforms in all public schools.

In a statement, the Builsa South MP has urged the government to allocate resources towards addressing the urgent challenges facing the education sector.
