10th Anniversary of the Daniel Barden Mudfest in Deansboro | Local [Video]

DEANSBORO, N.Y. — This year’s Daniel Barden Mudfest is just a little over a week away, marking the 10th year of the race.

Mudfest takes place on May 4 at MKJ Farm in Deansboro.

The Mudfest—a mud run obstacle course that honors the memory of Daniel Barden, who tragically lost his life in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut—will donate all proceeds to Sandy Hook Promise.

This nonprofit organization was established by family members of the victims from the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy on December 14, 2012.
